✍️ Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) criticized the Democrat shutdown, citing its impact on real Americans, and accused Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) of bowing to the Marxist wing of his party.
👉 The shutdown is unprecedented in US history, with a party shutting down the government over a clean continuing resolution (CR). 👉 Federal workers in blue states are disproportionately affected, with over a quarter of a million workers in California, 189,000 in Virginia, and 150,000 in Maryland working without pay. 👉 Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer is accused of bowing to the Marxist wing of his party. 👉 Schumer is quoted as saying that the shutdown gets better for him and his party with each passing day.
