👉 Fiji has seen an elevenfold increase in HIV cases from 2014 to 2024, with over 5,900 people living with the virus. 👉 The epidemic is linked to a growing trend of drug use, unsafe sex, and needle sharing. 👉 The practice of 'bluetoothing' or sharing infected blood is becoming increasingly common. 👉 Lack of education and awareness is a central factor in the epidemic. 👉 Experts warn that the true scale of the issue may be much bigger than official figures suggest.
