✍️ The Oregon Zoo in Portland has welcomed a new baby elephant, born to 30-year-old Asian elephant Rose-Tu after 20 months of pregnancy.
👉 The baby elephant is a female, but the zoo staff is waiting to confirm her weight and sex 👉 Rose-Tu is a 30-year-old Asian elephant and this is her third baby 👉 The zoo staff is giving the pair time to bond before conducting a first checkup 👉 The zoo supports efforts to help wild elephants and has an elephant care program spanning over 60 years
