✍️ The Georgia High School Association has introduced a new point-based formula to determine playoff teams and seeds starting from the 2026-27 school year.
👉 The Post Season Rankings formula will determine playoff teams and seeds starting from the 2026-27 school year. 👉 The formula will calculate a team's overall winning percentage and multiply it by the winning percentage of its opponents and by their opponents' competition. 👉 Region champions will be guaranteed a spot in the playoffs, while the rest will be determined by the formula. 👉 The change has been implemented in smaller schools in classes 1A-3A since the 2024-25 school year and will now be applied to the entire league, including bigger schools in 4A-6A.
