✍️ Migrants in Britain are disproportionately arrested for sex crimes, with certain groups from Africa and the Middle East being vastly overrepresented among alleged sex offenders.
👉 Migrants were arrested on suspicion of sex crimes at a rate of over 1 in 5 👉 Sudanese migrants had the highest arrest rate, at 1,200 per 100,000 👉 Migrants from Afghanistan, Eritrea, Iran, and Iraq also had high arrest rates 👉 The data has led to calls for the government to curtail immigration from high-risk countries 👉 There are also calls for the government to publish full statistics on the ethnic and immigration background of crime in Britain
