✍️ The House Financial Services Committee has released a new discussion draft of its crypto market structure legislation, which would exempt most top digital assets from the SEC's oversight.
👉 The bill would exempt most top digital assets from the SEC's oversight 👉 Digital commodities would be defined as assets generated by a blockchain system, deriving value from the system, offering voting rights, or being used to validate transactions 👉 Secondary market trading of digital commodities issued by mature blockchain systems would be exempt from SEC regulation 👉 Tokens like Ethereum, Solana, XRP, BNB, and Cardano appear to meet the definition of 'digital commodity' and 'mature blockchain system' 👉 The bill would regulate digital assets by the CFTC
