✍️ The Indiana High School Athletic Association will vote on implementing a 35-second shot clock for varsity basketball games in the 2028-29 season.
👉 A 35-second shot clock will be voted on by the IHSAA board of directors on May 4. 👉 The proposal is supported by the Indiana Basketball Coaches Association, but opposed by many principals. 👉 Concerns include the added cost (around $10,000 per school) and personnel required to run the clock. 👉 Some schools already have shot clocks installed in their main gyms, and 32 states now use a shot clock at the high school level.
