IF A CIVIL WAR WERE TO BREAK OUT IN THE UNITED STATES, AS DEPICTED IN THE NETFLIX MOVIE, THE COUNTRY WOULD BE DIVIDED INTO SEVERAL REGIONS. THE BLUE STATES, WHICH ARE PREDOMINANTLY DEMOCRATIC, WOULD LIKELY FORM A COALITION WITH THE GOAL OF PRESERVING THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT AND MAINTAINING THE CURRENT SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC ORDER. THE RED STATES, WHICH ARE PREDOMINANTLY REPUBLICAN, WOULD LIKELY FORM A SEPARATE COALITION WITH THE GOAL OF ESTABLISHING A NEW GOVERNMENT AND IMPLEMENTING THEIR OWN SET OF POLICIES. THE BORDER STATES, WHICH ARE OFTEN SWING STATES, WOULD LIKELY BE A KEY BATTLEGROUND IN THE CONFLICT. THE MOVIE SUGGESTS THAT THE WAR WOULD BE BRUTAL AND DEVASTATING, WITH BOTH SIDES SUFFERING HEAVY LOSSES. ULTIMATELY, THE OUTCOME OF THE WAR WOULD DEPEND ON A VARIETY OF FACTORS, INCLUDING THE STRENGTH OF THE OPPOSING FORCES, THE EFFECTIVENESS OF THEIR STRATEGIES, AND THE LEVEL OF SUPPORT FROM THE INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY.
