✍️ The article discusses the Vanderbilt Commodores' season-opening win over Charleston Southern, highlighting areas of improvement and questions that still need to be answered.
👉 The Commodores' offense showed signs of improvement, with a strong running game and improved pass defense. 👉 The team's defense was strong, holding Charleston Southern to 47 yards rushing and forcing several turnovers. 👉 Special teams were a highlight, with Brock Taylor converting all 5 PATs and Martel Hight showing promise as a punt returner. 👉 The team's ball security was a concern, with Sedrick Alexander fumbling the ball once and Pavia throwing an interception that was overturned due to DPI. 👉 The Commodores' scheme and play calling were largely unchanged, but the team's execution was improved.
