✍️ Scientists at the Minor Planet Center of the International Astronomical Union discovered a new celestial body near Neptune that challenges established space laws, with an orbital period of around 25,000 years.
👉 2017 OF201 is an object transneptuniano with an orbital period of around 25,000 years. 👉 It is estimated to have a diameter of approximately 700 kilometers. 👉 It is the second-largest known object in this dynamic population of dwarf planets. 👉 The discovery suggests that there may be hundreds of similar objects that are currently invisible. 👉 The object's orbit takes it from a distance of 44.5 times the distance between the Earth and the Sun to a distance of over 1600 times the distance between the Earth and the Sun.
