✍️ The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) has been asked to investigate allegedly misleading claims made by Australians for Natural Gas, a pro-gas group with ties to the gas industry and the Liberal party.
👉 Australians for Natural Gas has been accused of making misleading claims about the role of gas in the economy and energy transition. 👉 The group has failed to disclose its directors' links to the gas industry and the Liberal party. 👉 The complaint alleges that the group's claims are exaggerated and that it is engaged in astroturfing. 👉 The ACCC has identified misleading claims about energy and greenwashing as a priority for 2025-26.
