HOW WILL TIGERS IMPROVE OFFENSE? 'GROWTH IS GOING TO COME FROM WITHIN'
✍️ The Detroit Tigers plan to improve their offense in the 2026 season by relying on internal growth and development of their young players, rather than making significant external additions.
👉 The Tigers plan to improve their offense by relying on internal growth and development of young players
👉 The team views their position players in three waves: arbitration-eligible players, players under team control, and top prospects
👉 The first group of players, including Spencer Torkelson, Riley Greene, and Kerry Carpenter, are expected to continue to improve
👉 The next wave of prospects, including Kevin McGonigle, Max Clark, and Hao-Yu Lee, are expected to make their MLB debuts
👉 The team will not block young players and will allow them to develop naturally
👉 The Tigers are willing to explore offensive upgrades via free agency and trade, but signing free-agent third baseman Alex Bregman appears unlikely
