✍️ A coffee ring effect, commonly seen on tables and countertops, has inspired a breakthrough in at-home medical testing, allowing for rapid and reliable disease detection.
👉 The coffee ring effect is a common phenomenon where liquids dry in a ring shape due to surface tension. 👉 Researchers at UC Berkeley used this effect to develop a new at-home diagnostic test. 👉 The test can identify diseases like COVID-19, prostate cancer, and sepsis with remarkable accuracy. 👉 The test delivers results in just twelve minutes and can be used at home. 👉 The innovative test has the potential to revolutionize healthcare by making rapid and reliable disease detection possible at home.
