👉 Georgia is lifting a moratorium on new irrigation wells for farmers in the southwest region 👉 Farmers will be allowed to access water from the Floridian aquifer starting in April 👉 New wells will be required to be connected to irrigation systems that waste less water and can be monitored electronically 👉 No new withdrawals from streams or lakes will be allowed 👉 New wells will have to stop sucking up water from the Floridian aquifer when a drought gets too bad
