👉 The TSA will cease operations at Salem Airport due to the loss of commercial air service. 👉 Avelo Airlines, the only commercial airline operating at the airport, ceased operations in 2024. 👉 The city had until November to attract a new airline, but failed to do so. 👉 The TSA will remove its equipment, including scanners, metal detectors, and X-ray machines. 👉 Government employees will be relocated to other airports, primarily in Portland and Eugene.
