✍️ A woman who had to have her tongue reconstructed with a piece of her leg due to mouth cancer is urging people to check for warning signs.
👉 Mouth cancer can affect any part of the mouth, including the gums, tongue, and lips. 👉 Symptoms can include mouth ulcers, red or white patches, and difficulty swallowing. 👉 More than 3,000 people died of mouth cancer last year nationally, a 20% rise over the past five years. 👉 The Mouth Cancer Foundation charity wants the public to know it's not just dentists who can check for mouth cancer and encourages people to see their doctor or pharmacist if they're unsure.
