✍️ The Brazilian government launched the National Protocol for Investigating Crimes against Journalists and Social Communicators on World Journalist Day, aiming to improve the investigation and protection of journalists and communicators.
👉 Establishes standards for investigating crimes committed in relation to journalistic activity 👉 Recognizes the need to consider the context, motivation, and relationship of the crime with the professional exercise 👉 Dedicates special attention to vulnerabilities such as gender, race, sexual orientation, socioeconomic condition, and cases of disappearance of press professionals 👉 Follows international standards to improve the response of the state, strengthening freedom of the press and democracy
