✍️ A group of Republican lawmakers joined Democrats to shield Democratic House Delegate Stacey Plaskett from consequences over her involvement with sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Critics claim a 'back end deal' was made to save Rep. Cory Mills.
👉 Plaskett exchanged text messages with Epstein during a congressional hearing 👉 Epstein influenced Plaskett's behavior during the hearing 👉 Plaskett's office characterized the exchange as simply fielding inputs from the public 👉 Critics argue that Plaskett's actions were inappropriate and showed a lack of judgment 👉 The House failed to pass a resolution to censure and condemn Plaskett
