✍️ A former NHS gynaecologist's risky practices and shortcuts led to women suffering severe physical harm, according to a long-awaited report.
👉 Daniel Hay, a former NHS gynaecologist, was found to have demonstrated poor clinical practice and failed to recognize possible risks. 👉 The report identified two women who suffered severe physical harm, three who sustained moderate physical harm, and 48 cases that were rated red for major concerns. 👉 The NHS trust has apologized and implemented changes to improve patient care, including introducing measures to identify poorly performing clinicians and investing in more gynaecological support for women under its care.
