✍️ The federal court has refused to adjourn the defamation appeal of Bruce Lehrmann, despite his lawyer's requests for more time to prepare.
👉 Lehrmann's lawyer, Zali Burrows, has been asking the court to adjourn the appeal multiple times 👉 The justices have refused to adjourn the appeal, stating that Burrows has had "plenty" of time to prepare 👉 The appeal is related to a 2021 interview on The Project, in which Lisa Wilkinson and Network 10 discussed allegations of rape made by Brittany Higgins 👉 Lehrmann is appealing a previous judgment that found he was not defamed by the interview
