✍️ A top US military official has ordered the national guards of all 50 US states and territories to form 'quick reaction forces' trained in riot control, citing a presidential executive order.
👉 The Pentagon has ordered the national guards of all 50 US states and territories to form 'quick reaction forces' trained in riot control. 👉 The forces will be trained in techniques such as forming Squad-sized Riot Control Formations, employing riot batons, and supervising riot/crowd control operations. 👉 Each state will be provided with 100 sets of crowd control equipment and will be required to report monthly on its progress. 👉 A specialized military police battalion will be created within the District of Columbia National Guard to ensure safety and public order in the Nation's capital. 👉 The order is seen as an attempt by the president to normalize a national, militarized police force and could be used to suppress turnout and disrupt elections.
