✍️ A city ordinance in Sacramento, California, that bans the distribution of certain comic books to minors is up for repeal, with proponents arguing it's unnecessary and stifles free speech.
👉 The city ordinance bans the distribution of comic books that feature images of illegal acts such as arson, murder, or rape. 👉 The ordinance is not enforced today, but proponents of repeal argue that it's an outdated law that stifles free speech and creativity. 👉 Proponents of repeal argue that there is no evidence to support the idea that comic books have a negative impact on children. 👉 Comics can have a positive impact on children's reading skills and imagination.
