✍️ The United States Court of International Trade has halted President Donald Trump's tariff binge, citing the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA) and declaring that the president's emergency powers are unconstitutional.
👉 The IEEPA was passed in 1977 to limit the president's emergency powers in peacetime 👉 The court ruled that Trump's tariffs were not justified 👉 The IEEPA does not grant the president unlimited tariff authority 👉 The ruling ends the Liberation Day tariffs and the fentanyl tariffs against Canada, Mexico, and China
