✍️ The article explains the process of electing a new pope in the Catholic Church, including the role of cardinals, the conclave, and the voting process.
👉 The conclave is the process of electing a new pope in the Catholic Church. 👉 Cardinals are bishops who are chosen by the pope for elevation to a body known as the College of Cardinals. 👉 Only cardinals under the age of 80 can vote in the conclave. 👉 The conclave is a secretive process, with the penalty for violating the oath of secrecy being excommunication from the Catholic Church. 👉 The voting process involves two ballots per round, with the ballots being counted and the results announced before being burned. 👉 The acceptance of the election is voluntary, and the new pope must accept his election before being announced to the world.
