✍️ Cape Cod, Massachusetts, is experiencing a surge in animal strandings, with dolphins, whales, sea lions, and turtles washing up on beaches due to changing tides.
👉 Over 140 dolphins were stranded off Cape Cod in June, the largest mass stranding in US history. 👉 The rescue success rate for stranded live dolphins is around 70-80%. 👉 The International Fund for Animal Welfare is leading the rescue efforts. 👉 Turtles are also being stranded due to changing tides and warming waters. 👉 The Gulf of Maine is warming faster than 99% of the world's oceans.
