✍️ Sudanese archaeologist Shadia Abdrabo is working on an online database of Sudan's archaeological sites, museum collections, and historical archives to document and secure the country's cultural heritage, which has been threatened by the ongoing war.
👉 The war in Sudan has resulted in the looting and destruction of museums, with many cultural artifacts missing or irreparably damaged. 👉 Abdrabo is working on a year-long research grant to build an online database of Sudan's cultural heritage. 👉 The database will include archaeological sites, museum collections, and historical archives. 👉 Abdrabo is working to document what has been lost and to secure the remaining artifacts, which are at risk of being stolen or destroyed.
