👉 Sophie Power is a 42-year-old ultrarunner who has been instrumental in changing the sport by advocating for pregnancy deferral policies and promoting inclusivity for women. 👉 She founded the charity SheRaces to break down barriers preventing women from entering events alongside men and safeguarding returning mothers. 👉 Power has worked with over 2,000 women to find out what prevents them from getting on the start line of races and has developed a set of nine principles for event organizers to make their events more inclusive for women. 👉 She has completed several world record-breaking ultramarathons, including running the length of Ireland in three days and setting a record for the longest distance covered on a treadmill by a female in 48 hours.
