My two cents on Saylor’s sale of Bitcoin:
His 32 BTC liquidation to pay out equity dividends completely shatters his dogmatic "never sell" slogan. But honestly, the hypocrisy runs way deeper than just the sale.
How can you quote the white paper while keeping over 843,000 BTC locked up in corporate institutional custody accounts? Satoshi explicitly wrote the white paper to eliminate the need for "trusted third parties." Saylor didn't escape the legacy banking system; he just built a leveraged corporate proxy wrapper right back into it.
By forcing a sale to cover local financial liabilities, the market just proved two immutable truths:
- Intermediary custody always introduces counterparty risk.
- Bitcoin is not dead capital to be hoarded by corporate custodians—it is electronic cash designed for settlement, exactly as Satoshi intended.
The white paper remains undefeated.
