Reflections on the "adoption gap" during my morning walk. 🚶♂️💭
We have the technology. We have the Lightning Network for instant settlement and Nostr for censorship-resistant communication. We have incredible apps like Primal and
, and a growing sea of brilliant entrepreneurs. Yet, the full circular economy still feels like it's just out of reach for the masses. Why?
I suspect the missing link isn't more code—it’s more life.
On legacy platforms like Facebook and Instagram, I’m seeing vibrant videos and photos of Carnival in Aruba and Curacao right now.
It's colorful, social, and human. On Nostr, we are great at talking about the "how," but we aren't yet showing enough of the "wow" of daily life. To become mainstream, Nostr and Bitcoin need to stop feeling like a "tech stack" and start feeling like a community where you share your coffee, your travels, and your local festivals. 🎭✨
Mass adoption happens when the technology becomes invisible because the human experience is so visible. We need more day-to-day stories, more culture, and more Carnival.
What do you think is the #1 thing holding back your "non-bitcoin" friends from joining us here? Is it the tech, or is it just the lack of 'everyday' content?
