Band Member Profile - Alex I am Alex, the drummer and sound engineer of Strange Love. I started playing drums when I was 11, and I started recording and mixing about 4 years ago. Some of my favourite bands are Yes, The Beatles, The Mahavishnu Orchestra and Led Zeppelin. My favourite drummers are Bill Bruford, Phil Collins and Ringo Starr. The best part of playing drums in a band is being responsible for the "heartbeat" or feel of the song we play. Changing the drum beat, playing double time/half time or stopping completely can make the listener perceive the rest of the music entirely different. I love having that power and control when we play and write songs. One of my greatest hobbies outside of music is Star Trek. I love TOS and DS9 the most probably, but not too big of a fan of the newer shows being released right now. I have been to 2 Trek conventions in Vegas! #v4vmusic #startrekstr https://blossom.primal.net/9a32a0c49de1ec463017a1ada3a31e2c8cc565bc96ee8240c25eece8bf9f4c79.jpg https://blossom.primal.net/b6dfbda4824bda6743ee98a054927f12f9b74dbcbe783224327463b03232d5b9.jpg https://blossom.primal.net/6fdc4a59c1069d23966cc4277284ed98acea6cdb3de675973ce6c186c1937533.jpg
