#Bitcoin reserve is literally the new “bLocKChaIn” hype. You take a dying dinosaur and try to revive it with some shitty buzzword and similar.

This. There should be a daily reminder that #Bitcoin is for enemies, people you despise and criminals. And that’s a feature, not a bug.

Would you find it useful to have a series of interviews with business owners that decided to accept #Bitcoin as a payment to show to your favorite pub/restaurant/shop for inspiration?

So, we build and promoted Bitcoin to protect ourselves from nation-states.

Right now, you are all getting wet because a nation-state is deciding to buy a lot of bitcoins.

Thanks to this, the very same nation-state will become even more powerful than what it has ever been and will fuck you in any possible way.

AND YOU ARE CHEERING.

Where is the cypherpunk ethos?

Where are the crypto-anarchist ideas?

Where is the focus on the Right to Privacy?

You just want to pump you bags. And that’s disgusting.

Fuck off.

Unpopular opinion of the day: Yes, what happened today with the #Windows infrastructure crash could also happen to #Bitcoin.

Follow me in my reasoning.

I see a lot of people criticizing centralization of the service for today’s crash. In part this is true, for sure. In fact, Windows and #Crowdstrike are centralized services, and many corporations, banks and so on use their services.

However, do you think that it so different than >80% of people running Bitcoin Core on their nodes? What would happen if Bitcoin Core had a super bug that crashed the entire system?

Of course, the network would not die, as not all the services in the world died today, since they run on other services.

It was not (only) the centralization, but the haste and the carelessness of the release that led to today’s event.

I think there is a huge lesson here, for us bitcoiners: think twice before updating your nodes, think twice when people try to push hasty updates to the Bitcoin code, think twice because bugs exist and can jeopardize the functioning of our beloved protocol.

Thank you for reading through my rant.

Unpopular opinion:

Many participants in the Bitcoin community (myself included, probably) like to see themselves as great critical thinkers.

The reality is that they (we) sometimes are just contrarians and take opinions from “Bitcoin influencers” as the truth.

Thus, instead of thinking with our own minds we just take whatever is different from the mainstream thought as the inalienable truth.

We should not be parroting what other say. We must be thinking critically on every aspect, every decision and every opinion.

Otherwise we are just no better than the bots and NPCs.

“We cannot expect governments, corporations, or other large, faceless organizations to grant us #privacy out of their beneficence”.

Still, you think that #Bitcoin needs #Trump.

Wake up, anon.

The financial system is currently used as a weapon.

That’s why people need to study #Bitcoin.
