I believe atp the only way people really adopt new technology is through community work and actually building hubs around it.

story time: we ran NostrDevs at

for two years straight, starting at the end of 2022, trying to create a place where developers could learn, build, and meet other people working on Nostr. We also put together a Nostr development course on Udemy and tried to create resources that would make it easier for the next person to come in.

It was entirely self funded and really was a group effort between developers and plebs alike. A lot of people gave their time, a lot of sats were spent, and there were people who genuinely cared about seeing it grow.

What was always strange to me was how little of that community work was amplified by the wider Nostr ecosystem at the time. Sometimes something as simple as a retweet would have helped put that work in front of another developer or another person who might have gotten involved. This is why I jump on every call from a pleb or a developer who needs help. After a while though, it becomes defeating to keep pouring resources into something that the people around it do not seem particularly interested in helping carry forward.

Looking back, I actually think that was a blessing and one of the more expensive lessons God needed to teach me. Not everything you are capable of building is something you are supposed to keep carrying forever. 🕊️

There is a moment when Jesus sends the disciples out and tells them that if somewhere will not receive them, to “And if anyone does not welcome you or listen to what you have to say, as you walk out of the house or town shake the dust from your feet.” Matthew 10:14.

I understand that verse a little differently these days. It is not about being angry with anyone or indifference. Sometimes you did the work you were supposed to do, gave what you could give, and then you have to recognize when it is time to move on and put that energy somewhere it can actually bear fruit.

That is the main reasons I mostly focus on PlebLab these days. 💫 I learned an valuable lesson about trying to manufacture support for something instead of putting that same time, money, and energy into the community God had already put directly in front of me, PlebLab, in hindsight, I am grateful for the lesson and extremely blessed to have gone through it, taught me so much. 🙏

Summer is ending so that means another Startup Day is here, this time will be heading to Guadalajara enjoying the taco cuisine, experiencing some night life and be hacking throughout the week!

Thursday and Friday hit me hard. I was angry, disappointed, and honestly as upset as anyone would have been.

But something shifted for me at church yesterday evening. I cannot fully explain it, but I stopped fighting what had already happened and came to a place of acceptance.

I kept thinking about money and how, at the end of the day, it is only a tool. We are responsible for taking care of what has been placed in our hands, but none of it is truly ours forever. Everything we have is a gift, and anything in this world can disappear faster than we expect.

That does not make the loss or the hardship meaningless. I am beginning to see that difficult moments can still shape us, especially when we stop letting them harden us. There can be purpose in suffering, even when we cannot see it clearly in the moment.

I am also reminded that God can use imperfect people to teach us. None of us gets everything right. We are all capable of making mistakes, disappointing one another, and causing harm, sometimes without fully understanding the weight of what we have done.

For me, the real challenge now is forgiveness.

I believe true power is being able to forgive without pretending that nothing happened. True freedom is not simply doing whatever we want or holding onto our anger because we feel justified. It is facing the truth, letting go of what is consuming us, and still choosing love, service, and grace.

I am not saying I have completely worked through it. I just know I do not want anger to have the final word.
