I don’t actually like to eat morels all that much (shocking! They’re ok 🤷🏻‍♀️) but they are REALLY fun to draw 😁

I hope someone at the mushroom foray loves this carved mug and bowl set, or one of these sharpie-resist morel bowls!

Also this little mushroom jar 🥰 (pictured with lid off for quicker drying)

Today’s theme: magnolia teaware!

I’ve always wanted to do M. grandiflora motifs on red clay so the color and texture of the underside of their leaves can be the unglazed clay. I think it will make a very elegant gaiwan and travel mug. I might need to make a matching cup or two for the gaiwan…

This is another abandoned pot I rescued, but the fern designs in gold sharpie are all mine.

I’m going to see if using a thin-textured dipping glaze makes it easier to use gold sharpie as a glaze resist. Last time I used brush-on glaze and needed to go over my sharpie twice.

I just think it looks so gorgeous like this, it deserved being photographed!

Found one of the old sketchbooks I used while living in China 2018-19. Barely used at all; plenty of blank space in the back. I should probably use it…
