Anyone who bases their expectations of Bitcoin on price predictions and its market capitalization does not understand what they are getting into. Pricing Bitcoin in Dollars or Euros is misleading. Bitcoin's purpose is to reprice the Dollar, Euro and everything else.
Bitcoin is not an investment like a stock or a commodity. It's "perfect" money and at the same time a discovery that is as profound as the number zero.
The discovery of the number zero and the concept of nothing have taken mathematics, and therefore our society and technology, to a whole new level. Zero is a social consensus that everyone adopts because it makes life more efficient.
Bitcoin is the new concept of absolute mathematical scarcity. No one can change the limit of 21 million coins, any more than you or any state can change gravity. Everything in the world is worth a part of 21 million Bitcoin, forever.
You don't have to take my word for it, because Bitcoin is mathematical scarcity. You can verify everything yourself: Don't trust, verify!
If you hold 0% of your purchasing power in Bitcoin, you expect that Bitcoin will prevail with a probability of 0%. This is absurd because the concept of an unchanging benchmark for prices is logical. We also measure mass, length or luminous intensity in a similar way.
Bitcoin adoption is binary, because money is a game of "winner takes it all".
Either Bitcoin is superior money and will continue to soak up the purchasing power of all other stores of value such as gold, stocks, real estate, government bonds, fiat money and so on, or it will fail.
Bitcoin can only fail if people decide against the hardest money known to mankind. But that would contradict the findings of praxeology and the observed human action in history.
So, how many Bitcoin do you need? 21,000,000 Bitcoin divided by 8,000,000,000 people.
With 0.002625 BTC, you would have as much purchasing power as the average person could own if all coins were distributed equally. Converted into Dollars, that is roughly 160$ today.
Realistically, much less than 0.002625 BTC would be enough. Not all Bitcoin is in circulation yet, around 3-4 million coins are estimated to have been lost and the coins are unevenly distributed. Millionaires, billionaires, companies and states would also hoard large numbers of Bitcoin.
Therefore, significantly less than $160 in Bitcoin today would be sufficient to hedge against the adoption of digital scarcity.
Bitcoin is a test of ego, not IQ. Study Bitcoin and stop trading your limited lifetime for a currency that someone else can create out of thin air.
