Software updates are s small kick in the butt. Always feeling strange during these long time of waiting. First big one took hours and had to run some terminal, second hat to turn physical the node off. Now I have to think if I feel OK to run the third one

Winter time came back!

All good again!

Came back from Lugano and #PlanB Forum.

I have to admit, I don't learn new stuff anymore and the keynotes or masterclasses are a little bit boring nowadays. I also don't care at networking at all.

But after every conference the focus on the mission is always the same:

Use Bitcoin daily as digital cash Separate money and state FIAT structures and mentality is a scam Be kind and a responsible and ethical human Fix the money, Fix the world

I love how direct you are, while at the same time being honest and genuine. Never lose that. It feels so right.

What I heard about health is incredibly important. For many years, these ideas were almost considered conspiracy theories, but the way they are being approached now, through content like yours, is incredibly helpful.

For quite some time now, I’ve also been changing my diet, my habits, and the way I expose myself to the sun. The results have been very positive, and I definitely feel that my body is doing much better. So when several different people independently experience and confirm the same results, there must be something that’s working!

I also really liked what you said about the Matrix, because I feel the same way — like I have one foot inside it and the other outside. I think I actually like it that way, having the freedom to move between the two whenever I choose.

Always a pleasure, motivation and inspiration to hear you.

Take care!

Such a bad experience with #albyhub and #LNServer_Wave

I lost so much time with offline channels and force closing.

It happened more than three times until I figure out that is not my problem in the node or in the hub.

Shity stuff. Now I will wait for weeks cause of this shity LSP.

Olympus from

working the best until now in AlbyHub. Next try with #Mehalith

Tonight, I found myself sitting at a restaurant table, eating food that seems to get worse and worse.

So many things came up around the table.

Problems at work, the importance of good grades at school for the kids, technological progress, uncertainty, prices, salaries, right-wing or left-wing politics, and so much more.

And all I could think about was Bitcoin—the separation of money and state—and how everything they were talking about is built on top of a game whose rules are designed so that they lose.

Fix the money, fix the world

Anyone else using

?

Imagine if an exchange got hacked and the people got their BTC stolen. The hole space would scream: "You were asking for this, not your keys, not your coins" and all profile would post memes of this.

Now we are I a completely different situation. The ColdCard stealing was such a disaster.

Still I cannot swallow it 😥

Hi Alby team,

I’m experiencing a serious issue with my Alby Hub running as an app on Umbrel (v1.23.0, LDK backend).

My node had approximately enough sats in a Megalith LSP channel and had been working normally for months. Suddenly, without me restarting the node or restoring anything, my balance dropped to 0 sats.

The Hub now shows:

• 0 Lightning balance
• 0 on-chain balance
• “No Channels Available”

Nothing about a pending closing, force close, etc.

My 12-word recovery phrase is still the same as before, so it doesn’t appear that a new wallet was created.

The logs show that the LDK node starts successfully and syncs to the blockchain, with no obvious database or wallet errors.

Could you please help me determine what happened and whether this is a known issue? I can provide the logs and any additional information you need.

Thank you.

Enjoying the summer away from many people but still using

for stacking Sats. Great option!!

I tryed to run thebitcoincommons Software. Didn't worked still but was fun to spend time about it. I will try to use it when it's ready to work.

Bullish with

. Very promising, good working and enjoyable.

I usually see that bear markets are for building stuff. Unfortunately, I didn't notice something great around Bticoin this bear market.

Except #Nostr and all the cool stuff around it!

Make Bitoin more cypherpunk again!!!

Great Update for #BTClock! Thanks

The nwc balance is also activated. Ready to receive some Zaps ⚡and to test the display functions.

Some Zaps are welcomed

Tested two new apps today.

#Nmail (https://nostrmail.org) worked great! I enjoyed using it! Email through a free protocol!

#Noscall didn't worked that well, relays had connectivity issues. The calling was coming through, connection couldn't be established. Very promising for the future! I would love to see this getting better! ✌✌✌

Every day more bullish on #Nostr

With governments around the world increasingly tightening restrictions on self-custodied no-KYC Bitcoin — from South Africa and Australia to the European Union and beyond — it’s only a matter of time before everyone is affected. The question is no longer if this will happen, but when to you too. Make your planB according to the country and placed you're living. It is a matter of time.

Start thinking now about how to avoid total financial surveillance and control. Plattfroms like

True peer-to-peer exchange needs to become far more active — especially through local meetups, conferences, and small trusted communities around you. Building circular economies and real human networks is becoming essential.

Separation of money and state

Third conclusion: people do not trust existing structures, yet they are largely unaware of tools for private communication such as SimpleX Chat, Session, Keet, Bitchat, and others.

Also I a country with a extrem censorship, Nostr remains very largery unknown.

They also underestimate the importance of controlling their own wealth, as in most cases their investments are managed or held by third parties.

Even in the rare case that someone decides to acquire Bitcoin, they struggle to understand the advantage of no-KYC over KYC.

Well-known no-KYC platforms are essentially non-functional — in a country where, until very recently, transactions were conducted almost exclusively hand-to-hand.

We have an enormous amount of work ahead of us!

Greetings from Türkiye 🇹🇷

Second conclusion: there is a significant knowledge gap, which leads to a chaotic mix of opinions. Concepts are constantly confused, and scammers dominate the space. For them, Bitcoin is a "crypto thing" that gamblers and scammers using, like every other "kripto-parali".

There are almost no books about Bitcoin available — even in a city with many large bookstores and a population that still values reading.

Overall, there seems to be a clear lack of easily accessible, high-quality educational material.

Here are a few conclusions for my bitcoiner friends from my stay in Istanbul, Turkey.

First conclusion: adoption has not increased at all since the last time I was here two-three years ago. If anything, it may have even declined.

As a community, we need to admit that we’ve lost valuable time — whether through internal dramas, focusing on politicians, price goes up thinking, carrying about stablecoins, or building overly complex stuff that no one wants or knows how to use.

No one with real influence and skills has made a serious effort to simply show people how to use digital money in their everyday lives — and why it matters.

Even in a country like Turkey, with over 90 million people, or in a city of 20 million, where people watch their local currency deteriorate and lose value every single day.

We have all failed together — each in our own way and according to our respective roles.

If we carry as a community that Bitcoin will make people more free and the world a better place for the next to come, we probably must focus again to the basics.

I am trying to buy some Bitcoin books for some friends in Turkey. I visited some big bookstores but were no books to find about BTC.

Any Turks around? Where can I find Bitcoin books in Istanbul?

Is there a way in generall to watch BTC conferences without having to use platform like YouTube? #asknostr

Sunday evening, playing #BlockHunters with the family and going deeper with orange-pilling.

Back in the time, I was living in Turkey. My rent for a 4 room apartment in a nice area was 1500 TL monthly. Nowdays you are almost paying this money for extra luggage in the airport or a couple of kebaps (Not to immention the size or the quality of it).

Turks have to adopt even faster that they should

I decided to spend some more time with the BTCServer. How is the way to connect #albyhub to #btcserver? The nwc, nostr plugin is nowhere to be found.

This would be great, specially with using own node.
