Just finished another shirt over the weekend. Something about the badgers in orange floaties just spoke to me for some reason...

Excited to wear it tonight to my first group meet up with some fellow Bitcoiners I met on

January update:

Our household suffered this past month. We had reduced income (I took a pay-cut to start a new self-employment venture), and we had some unexpected expenses that pushed our costs above normal. In terms of Sats, we had to dip into our savings resulting in a net loss of 3.93%. In terms of fiat, the purchasing power of our remaining Sats (savings) still had a net increase of 4.70% when priced in USD (our local fiat).

Just tracking the fiat amount: we would be down -4.14% in savings Granted, we would've had 100% less Sats (in savings) had we not converted all of our fiat to Sats going into this year.

#Strike Bill Pay worked as intended. There was a nerve-racking hiccup where the option disappeared on our account, but it was quickly resolved by their support team. We also had to provide a certificate of marriage so we could pay my Wife's credit card bill.

We weren't able to put any savings into long term cold-storage via

because we were at a net loss this month.

In short: Sats were down (we dipped into savings) 3.93% Fiat Value (of our savings) was up 4.70% (despite dipping into it)

If anyone is interested, I'll keep updating in percentage terms how our life looks on a monthly #BitcoinStandard

The USA's Federal Government has an estimated 207,000 seized Bitcoin. Of that:

• 69,370 Silk Road Bitcoin will be sold

• 94,000 Bitcoin to be returned to people who lost their Bitcoin in the hack and collapse of Bitfinex

Leaving the USA's Federal Government with approximately 43,630 Bitcoin.

China has approximately 194,775 in seized Bitcoin.

Trump has repeatedly stated his intent to create a "strategic Bitcoin stockpile." No way Trump's ego let's him allow China to have more Bitcoin than the USA's Federal Government by the end of his four year term.

Meaning he'd have to recoup over 160,000 Bitcoin, which is at least $16 Billion if they can manage to get it at today's prices. Which they realistically won't be able to do if the other nations of the world think that the USA's Federal Government is trying to get a dominant position in the Bitcoin market.

There are also Five States that have proposed in their legislature to start buying Bitcoin. Including:

Texas Pennsylvania Ohio New Hampshire North Dakota

Florida's Treasurer also recommended it to the Florida legislature. Florida is the 16th largest economy in the world, if treated as it's own nation.

This also doesn't take into account any of the USA ETFs nor Companies buying Bitcoin for their balance sheets.

Why isn't this culmination of news all over?

Closed a sale, outside my normal income, so I took some of the unexpected profits to splurge a little. Really looking forward to this build.

Thinking about putting my #nsec on a #StampSeed. Just to make sure I don't lose it. Especially if I continue to develop a presence here on Nostr.

For those in the United States who are 100% off the USD and are #Bitcoin only:

How do you budget? How do you know the amount of #Sats you need to meet your expenses each month? What's the most useful service to take care of #Fiat bills? How do you get paid? How do you account for federal tax purposes?

It makes sense to put everything on a credit card, and pay that off by liquidating #Sats that have been held for more than one year each month. However I'm struggling with the concept of making mortgage payments and the like. Unless you keep a separate open line of credit for that.

Interested to hear what US citizens have worked out for that...

and I had a couple of #Lego nights. She built the spectacular insects. We're big fans of how those builds turned out. The detail the Lego devs were able to portray is really satisfying.

I built one of my all time favorite star fighters from #StarWars, the Tie-Interceptor. I love how mean its profile is. The #Mandalorian Fang Fighter was a little underwhelming as a build, but I do love that cockpit. It has the appearance of a luxury car.

Good morning, #Nostr.

Morning black #coffee and #donuts. It's going to be a good day.

If anyone else is cursed like me (#celiac), then these #GlutenFree donuts are really good. The brand is #Kinnikinnick.

This amused me. I think it has mistaken #Boom and #Booming as something to do with finances or trading, haha.

#Booming on #Nostr is the equivalent of #Tweeting on #Twitter, since #Ostritches make #Booming noises.

I think that most people agree on what problems we're facing as a society. However, they all see different potential solutions to those problems. Including what potential problems those proposed solutions may cause.

Silencing the ability for people to speak freely and share ideas is not one of those solutions. The opportunity to discuss disagreements in views with people is one of the best ways for people to grow. Stay humble, stay curious, don't stop learning.

I finally updated my display for my #Legos. Hope they keep putting out more #LotR sets. One of these figures is not like the others, and Scary Bilbo makes an appearance as well.

Also rearranged and swapped out my #StarWars builds in the case.

With everything that my wife and I went through last year, I really quit listening to US politics. Doing so really assisted in helping my general mood and outlook on life and America improve.

I listened to presidential and political content all day today. It was extremely taxing to say the least. Glad I don't follow it anymore. Looking forward to the election season to be over. Opting out, chosing #Bitcoin.

I strongly agree with this. I think #Teather is positioning #USDT to replace #SWIFT. Especially after Howard Lutnick's #Bitcoin2024 speech.

I'll start with the Father's Day build I did with my wife.
