Hello plebs!
I'd like to hear some perspectives from people I know that they care about #Bitcoin.
I do not like ordinals at all. I think they are stupid. People who push them give ne cringe.
I also believe in free market so in my current understanding, I feel like even stupid jpegs have right to compete in the free market for the block space.
I think this topic is an important topic to have an open converesation about.

What is #Bitcoin community's common denominator?
I wonder what would be one collective real world action that almost all #Bitcoin community would support.
What would be our real world common action denominator except holding Bitcoin?
If people start reposting this and write their comments under, it would be interesting to find out which ideas would emerge as more popular.
Imagine doing that single simple action all together...
What do you think
?
I want to understand how #Bitcoin is being developed imcrementally with soft forks. Are there any resources out there?

French #Bitcoin ers ! Where can we follow what's actually going on in #France ?
#frenchriots
Do you know anybody out there with decent understanding of #Bitcoin and still criticizes it?
I'd be curious to hear smart counter arguments.
Through inflation they both steal your savings and devalue your labour/work/life at the same time. And they keep doing this continuously over years and years. But the later is far more evil than the stealing savings because it is cumulative! This is an order of magnitude more evil...
That's why things are getting more expensive rather than getting cheaper although productivity increases exponentially.
, I think got it! Have I ?😊

I have a dear friend who holds a Phd in Economics. The skills she listed on linkedin are Quantitative research, Climate Change, Applied Econometrics, Economics and Labour Economics. I know she is successful in her domain and works as a researcher in a European institue.
Today I asked her if she read Austrian Economics or interested in it and she said no.
It must be earlier than we think. So exciting!

Robert von Ranke Graves on #Bitcoin by #Chatgpt
"Beneath the veil of digital code, In realms beyond the state's control, Transcending borders, it has flowed, Empowering all who play a role. No longer must we pay the toll."

Freud on #Bitcoin by #chatgpt
" It's difficult to say exactly what #Freud would have thought about Bitcoin, as he lived in a different time period and cultural context, and his primary focus was on the field of #psychology rather than economics or technology. However, based on some Freud believed that the human psyche is driven by unconscious desires and conflicts, and that much of our behavior is motivated by the pursuit of pleasure and the avoidance of pain. From this perspective, Bitcoin could be seen as a manifestation of our collective desire for financial security, #independence, and the ability to speculate and profit from market fluctuations. On the other hand, it could also be viewed as a potentially #risky or #addictive behavior, driven by the excitement and thrill of high-stakes #gambling."
Adolf Hitler on #Bitcoin by #Chatgpt
"#Hitler was known for his extreme #nationalism, #authoritarianism, and opposition to liberal democracy and capitalism. He believed in a #centralized government with strict control over the economy and society. He also promoted the idea of a pure Aryan race, and sought to exclude or eliminate those he deemed inferior.
Given these beliefs, it is likely that Hitler would have been opposed to the idea of a #decentralized, global currency such as Bitcoin. He may have viewed it as a threat to state control and a tool for facilitating illegal activities. He may also have opposed the idea of a currency that was not tied to a physical asset or backed by a government.
However, it is important to note that any speculation on Hitler's thoughts on Bitcoin are purely hypothetical and should not be taken as fact. It is also important to remember the atrocities committed by Hitler and the Nazi regime, and to not lend credence to their ideologies in any way."
Bruce Lee on #Bitcoin by #ChatGPT
"Just as a building needs a strong foundation to stand the test of time, the new digital economy will be built on the foundation of Bitcoin. Embrace the potential of this revolutionary technology, be like water, and flow with the changing tides of the future." #BeLikeWater #BruceLee #Future #AI
Nelson Mandela on #Bitcoin by #ChatGPT
"His values and beliefs suggest that he might have seen the potential benefits of such a system in promoting economic #freedom and #equality, especially for marginalized people. #Mandela was a strong advocate for social justice and economic empowerment and believed in using technology to advance these goals. He also believed in individual agency and #creativity, which align with the #decentralized nature of Bitcoin. Overall, while we can't be certain, Mandela may have supported Bitcoin's potential to create a more just and equitable world."

Spinoza on #Bitcoin by #ChatGPT :
"#Bitcoin , a new creation of human reason, subject to the laws of nature and the interconnectedness of all things. Time will reveal its true value."

Why it is so hard to comprehend #Bitcoin?
This is challenging because our minds are conditioned to comprehend things as separate concepts, and then we can do the same thing with the combination of separate concepts to understand complex concepts. This is how our brains evolved, dividing the totality into smaller things and understanding them piece by piece, then combining them to understand the totality.
However, #Bitcoin is not a single, unchanging "thing". It is challenging to encapsulate the meaning of all the separate things that Bitcoin can do and cause into just one "thing" and conceptualize it. Our conceptual understanding is tied to language, which has been evolving based on the assumption that reality can be divided into static or unchanging things. Therefore, our brains cannot conceptualize a "thing" that is perfect money, defender of freedom, speculative asset, trigger of unprecedented change, protector of the "weak," and many more things all at the same time.
Looking back, I argue that there may not have been a specific time when you understood Bitcoin fully? Breakthrough moments may have occurred , but without previous small steps, that breakthrough would not have been possible.
So, what is Bitcoin?
Bitcoin is not a concrete object or combination of separate concepts, but rather an indivisible process that encompasses a vast range of use cases and has sparked a social and cultural revolution that will continue to unfold. Then who is #Satoshi? Satoshi embodies the contributions of Ayn Rand, Julian Assange, Nick Szabo, and Adam Beck, among other #cypherpunks, and cannot be separated into distinct individuals. The anonymous creator(s) of Bitcoin of course had the humility to vanish after the final stroke of genius that led to the breakthrough in 2009.
I think we should be aware of the fact that sharing and reading this on a censorship-free and permissionless platform built on the Bitcoin network cannot be separated from Bitcoin either.
What a time to be alive!
@JeffBooth ,thanks for being an inspiration for me to start writing about my love of Bitcoin.

Reflections on #Bitcoin :
There are different gateways to enter the #Bitcoin rabbit hole. My main vehicle was greed, which ultimately led me on a journey to understand the true nature of money and wealth and how the world works.
Just for completeness, here are a few more vehicles I can think of: state censorship, like in the case of Wikileaks, or being unbanked, like in the case of Africa, or collaps of a local currency... These challenges can also lead to a journey of understanding the power dynamics of money and everything else. I think the reason all these different doors (and more) open to Bitcoin is the fact that it is "true" like very few things that human civilization has built so far.
Now, back to "greed" as a vehicle... Getting rich quick is a very powerful idea, but it can also be a distraction from the deeper meaning of Bitcoin. As I continued on my journey, I began to realize that Bitcoin was not just about making money, but about creating a more just and equitable world. I think there is a very interesting analogy here between the Bitcoin journey and a spiritual journey. At some point, the seeker needs to realize that it is not just about becoming a better "person"...
The glimpse of the fact that Bitcoin was not just about making more money led me to question my own motivations for stacking sats. Was I doing it out of fear and greed, or was I truly aligned with the values of Bitcoin? I began to see that my journey with Bitcoin was not just about accumulating wealth, but about becoming a better person and contributing to a more positive future. What an opportunity!
All my savings are in Bitcoin, but fear has lessened over time... I should note that as an engineer, I know that even if Bitcoin goes to zero, I will still be financially better off than a vast majority of people. Interestingly, I feel like I would not regret one second if Bitcoin went to zero tomorrow. I would feel sad, but I would not regret it. Bitcoin has given me the opportunity to do good for people I do not know at all, and this helps me expand my sense of self . What an opportunity!
If you are also coming from the greed path and need some guidance, here is #nickszabo telling #Bitcoin story...Ideas before that led to it and failed attempts before it.
Let`s keep dreaming!
Are we doing our fair share for #Bitcoin adoption?
Some thoughts good people of #Nostr and #Bitcoin
#Bitcoin is one of the most profound invention s so far in terms of the potential it has for making world a better place.
Nobody(there might be exceptions) gets it just by hearing from other people how amazing it is. Although when I try it and fail to convey, I still get surprised, it should be no surprise...we are talking about a breakthrough here. I still forget the fact that it has taken me 4 years and two bear markets to get it(I have mechanical engineering background and I consider myself curious). I got in in 2017 to get rich just before the bubble burst.
One needs to understand at least how money works and digital scarcity to start appreciating it(only as a money making tool), and these are not so easy. One does not get this overnight.
The most unfortunate thing one can fall into is to develop an #ego around it after understanding it and feeling you are better than people who are yet to understand.
Other than making people uncomfortable with not understanding #Bitcoin there are things that every single one of us can do to help the adoption. We all have unique volume of influence.
"What can I do to help adoption?" is a good question to ask oneself What a time to be alive!
Listen some #[0] if you have not already.

Hello friends.
I'd like to write an artical in Turkish about evolution of #Bitcoin , what it means and in general help willing people to take the step towards this rabbit hole.
Turkey has a collapsing currency and unfortunatelt quality content does not exist. In fact there is full of scammers and "bitcoin will go to moon next month"ers.
I'd like to take people to the journey with below topics.
1- what is money and its history 2- Internet and how it empowers peer to peer interaction 3-Creation and manipulation of money and inflation 4- 2008 Crisis 5- Ideas that inspired #Bitcoin 6- Trials before Bitcoin 7- Creation of Bitcoin 8- Very early adoption of Bitcoin 9 - Cyprus case 10 - wikileaks and Bitcoin 11- Bitcoin and other crypto projectz 12- Block size vars 13- Scaling and lightning 14- El salvador 15- 2022-23 financial crisis 16- what bitcoin means for future of our civilisation. 17- #Nostr
This will be a challanging project obviously so I am open to any support.
Do you know any written good content similar to this. I'd much prefer translating it rather than writing this myself. Saying that, if it is not out there, I'd be happy to write this as well.
I'd like this content to be ready as soon as possible because 80 milion people in Tukey needs an escape raft.
🙏
Today I started to feel the urge to run a #Bitcoin node out of nowhere.
It is amazing how Bitcoin makes you make the world better.
Let's contribute!
Thank you #Nostr people for being so inspiring❤
Every block that is generated by #Bitcoin Network every ten minutes is like a mantra that is repeated during mantra meditation.
Every block anchors the world to the reality just like every repeated mantra anchors the practitioner to the reality.
Each bitcoin is a piece of truth that cannot be destroyed, replicated or altered. On the other hand fiat money is like thoughts; can easily be corrupted.
Bitcoin network meditates, increasing the collective consciousness and transforms everything that it touches.
Eternal, powerful and beautiful...
