On the similar note, I have a regular annoying experience in my grocery store. They don't remove tags from the meat, so after I pay, meat always rings at the door. Then security comes, checks my bags and reads through my bill for a looooong time (maybe semi-literate). While in the shop, I twice witnessed that drunk is pushing through the barrier and walking out with bottles in his hands. Security then shouts "yo!", drunk doesn't react and nothing else happens. My guess would be that this is the regular occurrence. But ladies like me get entertained for a while. Any idea what can I say next time, with the aim that they remember me (as an old, nasty b****h) and never stop me again? Just to mention, my profile picture doesn't accurately represent my look and my age, so this is not a likely reason for security wanting to spend lots of time with me

Update on Barefoot shoes I've been happy with my first ones, so went to the shop the other day to see whether there are any sales. And, needles to say, my first two choices were not on sale. But I liked one of them a lot and went to search online. I found ones for £90 (vs £170 in the shop) and happily press "buy now" button, just to find out that minimum for UK order is £140 Well, I am not easily discouraged, let me see what else do they have. I did found one more, got voucher for 10% off and I am just above £140. when this arrive I will pay 20% VAT and end up back to £170. Didn't even get to the point where they could charge me for delivery. Can't win 🤷‍♀️

Barefoot Shoes Journey 🦶

I finally got used to barefoot shoes! At the beginning, everyone warned me to take it slow and ease into them, but that sounded way too overprotective. I did try to start slowly—meaning I walked a little less… (Obviously nowhere near as little as I should have 😅) Very quickly I learned barefoot shoes are secret torture devices. Arch pain, bunion pain, nighttime agony, and mornings where I walked like The Little Mermaid trying to move on land. 🧜‍♀️

I nearly gave up, but they were expensive—so nope. I treated them like high heels instead: short stylish office walks, then dramatic foot pain.

Then came the worst phase: my old shoes started hurting too, so it felt like I destroyed my feet completely. Pain going back, pain going forward

Fast forward 2 months: Now I can walk 15–20k steps with no issues 🙌 Not a raving barefoot cult member yet, but they’re pretty comfy now. I even bought toe-separated socks
