Yesterday, at market a young man and his mother asked how I came to accept #bitcoin at farmers markets. I started with #nostr and gave credit to Jack Dorsey, and

then pulled up #damus and #primal to show him how easy it is to use the protocol sending and receiving Sats 丰. He and his (I assume it was his mother) own Solana and Eth, but his brother is a VC and has some #bitcoin so the conversation was interesting.

I think

said it best when he was like, run your old version of core, or upgrade /fork as you wish, otherwise STFU (I am paraphrasing obviously). This feels like a paid psy-op by those who would disrupt the #bitcoin community for nefarious reasons. Since I write no code and run no node, my opinion means less than zero. Jus’ sayin’.

GM #nostr We are accustomed to highs and lows in #bitcoin and in life. Having been on a long high, it is natural that we remember the balance of life with a somber low, remaining grateful and humble.

Yesterday, a beautiful, vibrant young woman of our circle (28 years) succumbed to breast cancer. She could not tolerate the chemotherapy prescribed. May she ascend peacefully to her reward. Gabriela, you will be remembered as you were at the farmers market last spring.

So, so true, and sad, but we must remain clear-eyed re the raison d’être of #bitcoin, and the Fed, and their mutually exclusive natures. STRAIGHT FIRE.

#nostr and #bitcoin have given us more hope than we could have hoped for prior to their marriage. It is the both of them that encourage me, while #bitcoin does the heavy lifting in the global community, #nostr circles the wagons of sovereign individuals with community sensibilities despite anarchistic tendencies.
