We weren’t “digital natives.” We were the #liminal #generation

#Analog #childhoods #Algorithmic #adulthood No consent in between.

We were dropped into the internet before literacy, ethics, or guardrails — not users, test subjects.

Our kids never believed the internet was real.

They #learned #skepticism from our scars.

Feels like we’re the last generation who remembers #unmediated #reality and the first to live with the #consequences of losing it.

A prequel generation to so many “firsts.”

Anyone else feel this?

My kids are young adults now.

They’ve never believed the internet is “real” — they understand #persona vs #IRL , #narrative #shaping #incentives.

It makes me realize people my age were a kind of #last #generation — the #first #true #test #subjects of the #digital #age

Not natives. Not immune. Just dropped into an experiment before anyone knew the rules.

Does anyone else feel like we’re a prequel generation to so many “firsts”?
