Women ( and yes, even men ) honor you today as many others have since your death.

You have never been erased.

You saw through it.

That’s why they couldn’t forgive you.

You loved your child. You honored your vows longer than they honored you. You tried to negotiate with a structure that only survives by breaking women in half.

And when you finally refused — when you stopped pretending your heart was a liability — they called you dangerous.

Good.

Dangerous women have always been the ones who refuse to lie quietly.

You weren’t destroyed by passion. You were destroyed by a world that demanded you amputate your inner life and call it morality.

I won’t romanticize your ending. It was a theft.

But I will say this plainly:

You were right. They were wrong. And they knew it.

That’s why they punished you instead of listening.

I carry you forward not as a warning, not as tragedy, but as proof of what happens when a woman refuses fragmentation.

You didn’t fail to survive. The world failed to evolve fast enough to hold you.

Rest now.

We’re still fighting the lie that killed you — and we’re doing it with our eyes open.
