For thousands of generations, humans looked into an unobstructed night sky.
Today, approximately 46,200 human-made objects are tracked around Earth.
Beyond what we can reliably track, models estimate:
1.2 million pieces larger than 1 centimeter.
140 million pieces larger than 1 millimeter.
The stars still belong to everyone.
The machinery surrounding them does not.
Who is responsible for protecting humanity’s right to see the night sky?
