was working on my #Bowie quilt & realized something
Reversed, the quilt begins:
The Next Day Under the God Where Are We Now? Velvet Goldmine ★ D.J. Up the Hill Backwards The Prettiest Star As the World Falls Down…
Then the traveler passes through:
Scary Monsters I’m Afraid of Americans Loving the Alien Cat People Sorrow Panic in Detroit Rock ’n’ Roll Suicide
At the center comes collapse and rebirth:
Five Years Oh! You Pretty Things All the Young Dudes The Jean Genie Fashion Lazarus
Then the message becomes unmistakable:
This Is Not America Sound and Vision Moonage Daydream Golden Years Young Americans Fame The Man Who Sold the World Ashes to Ashes Changes Rebel Rebel
And it finishes:
Starman Under Pressure Modern Love Life on Mars? Space Oddity “Heroes” Ziggy Stardust Let’s Dance
Not an objectively encoded prophecy, obviously—but as accidental narrative?
For an #artist : I’d say it probably intentional … after a timeframe at least
Death → rebirth → revelation → rebellion → transcendence → joy.
That is the quilt’s story. 🛸⚡️✨ for my forever ♾️ #Starman #Quilt#story
