People keep arguing about “truth” when the real problem is its cousins.

#Information = raw facts. Neutral.

#Misinformation = wrong, but shared by accident.

#Disinformation = wrong on purpose. A weapon.

#Malinformation = true, but stripped of context to cause harm.

#Propaganda = repetition until emotion replaces thinking.

Now add gasoline:

#Attention decides what lives. #Algorithms #multiply whatever grabs #emotion

#Metrics #reward #speed over accuracy.

Result:

#Lies spread fast #Truth spreads slow #Context dies first

Most modern disinformation isn’t fake. It’s true things cropped, timed, and #framed to #manipulate

That’s why arguing facts doesn’t work. You’re fighting a #narrative engine, not a #lie

We didn’t enter a post-truth world. We entered a post-context world.

Fix incentives and context, disinformation starves.

Keep rewarding outrage and speed, truth never wins.

#MEASLES IS RISING IN THE U.S. — it’s the canary of #misinformation

• Measles was eliminated (2000), not eradicated

• The virus is reintroduced via travel all the time

• Outbreaks only happen where vaccination drops

What changed? ❌ The virus didn’t ❌ The vaccine didn’t ✅ The information environment did

Misinformation → lower vaccination Lower vaccination → herd immunity breaks Herd immunity breaks → measles returns

Measles spreads through the air. It infects before symptoms appear. It finds gaps immediately.

This isn’t about politics. It’s about math, biology, and trust.

“Measles didn’t come back because science failed — it came back because misinformation spread faster than trust.”
