Getting started: If you share an account with someone, only one of you should open the app and set it up, then share it with the other. After that it works just like handing the paper register back and forth: whoever made the latest entry has the register.

Add it to your home screen so it works like an app:

• iPhone: Open the link in Safari, tap the Share button (the square with the up arrow), scroll down, tap Add to Home Screen, then tap Add.
• Android: Open the link in Chrome, tap the three-dot menu, tap Add to Home screen (or Install app), then tap Add.

Please keep your paper register. This is still a work in progress, so use it alongside paper, not in place of it.

Sharing with a friend: Don't use the Share button inside the app, because it sends your own entries along with it. Share this post instead.

It's been a while since seeing how

Second node had a bad ssd so I scrapped it. Within a week, I loaded

newly released 0.4.0 on it and been slowly getting it back up and running. Have most of the services I use up and fully operational. I got to say, it's really sweet what they've done. If you haven't setup a node yet, I highly recommend them.

Could use a test zap to make sure my wallet is back up and functioning correctly if anyone is so inclined to help out.

is. If you didn't know, when you run a BTCPayserver, you can create custom lightning addresses on the fly and the address store dependent. So each store you create can have its on lightning address. I'm changing my tip wallet address and see how well it works. Test it out if you feel the need.

looking for a little help on ProxMox. Trying to migrate from VM on old hardware to a VM on new hardware and having trouble mounting old ssd. found something suggesting to setup a USB Passthrough on the new VM and restart the vm and it should see it. You got any thoughts or suggestions. Want to use the Start9 transfer utility so my Lightning channels don’t close.

Congress passed a law (in the One Big Beautiful Bill Act) that adds a 1% federal excise tax on certain outgoing remittance transfers—basically, when someone in the U.S. sends money abroad using cash or similar instruments. The IRS is now proposing the detailed rules for how that tax will apply.

💵 When the 1% tax applies

The tax applies only when the sender funds the transfer with:

• Cash
• Money orders
• Cashier’s checks
• Traveler’s checks (newly added in the proposed regs)
• A check that the provider cashes and then uses to fund the transfer (the IRS says this counts as a cash transaction)

It does NOT apply when the transfer is funded by:

• A bank account (checking, savings, credit union, etc.)
• A U.S.-issued debit or credit card

📌 Key points the proposed regulations clarify

• No small‑provider safe harbor:
  Regulation E normally exempts small remittance providers (under 500 transfers/year).
  The IRS rejected that exemption.
  Even tiny providers must collect the 1% tax.

• Tax base:
  The 1% is calculated on the amount sent to the recipient, including:

  • Promotional bonuses or incentives added to the transfer
    But excluding:
  • Service fees
  • The excise tax itself

• Who pays and who files:
  The sender owes the tax, but the remittance transfer provider must collect it and remit it on Form 720 quarterly.
  If the provider fails to collect it, they become liable.

• Effective date:
  Applies to transfers after 12/31/2025.
  Taxpayers can rely on these proposed rules until final regulations are issued.

• Public comments:
  IRS is accepting comments until June 12, 2026.

🧠 What this means in practice

If someone walks into a store or money‑transfer business and pays cash to send $500 to another country, the provider must charge an additional 1% excise tax ($5) and remit it to the IRS.

If the same person pays using a bank account or debit card, no excise tax applies.
