For those who couldn't make yesterday's session of The Bitcoin Community Flywheel in partnership with

👇

We discussed the best-performing channels for growing awareness and driving attendance to your Bitcoin community events, ranked from lower to higher impact.

The key takeaway: don't rely on social media alone. Email marketing, personal invitations and direct messages can make a real difference in getting people to actually show up.

What if your Bitcoin community could turn every event, newsletter and new member into a flywheel for growth? 🔄

Join me for a live and open discussion on how Bitcoin communities can grow awareness, increase event attendance and build stronger engagement over time.

Rather than a traditional presentation, we'll make this an interactive session where we'll: ✅ Explore practical ways to turn your events and activities into a growth engine. ✅ Look at how to increase awareness and consistently bring new people into your community. ✅ Discuss how events, content, newsletters and social media can work together instead of operating as separate channels. ✅ Share strategies and examples from my experience building the

and

. ✅ Exchange ideas with other Bitcoin community leaders about what is actually working and what isn't.

If you run, organize or are building a Bitcoin community and want to find new ways to grow awareness and attendance, join us and let's explore it together 🚀

Most Bitcoin community builders are funding events from their own pockets 💰

I recently ran a multiple-choice poll in my Bitcoin Community Leaders group (26 votes), asking: Are you charging for your events, and if so, who pays?

The results tell a clear story:

🔹 61% cover all costs themselves 🔹 23% sell individual tickets 🔹 23% accept voluntary donations 🔹 19% have sponsors 🔹 11% receive grants 🔹 7% use memberships

The takeaway? For the vast majority, building community isn't a revenue pla: it's an investment. Organizers are putting their own resources on the line to create spaces where real connections happen.

But the most successful leaders diversify: tickets, sponsors and grants all play a role when done right.

Building a strong community takes more than just passion: it takes creativity, drive and discipline. That's exactly why this group exists.

🕊️ Hi Bitcoin Community Leaders, the

hack has caused a lot of pain. I've seen a lot of negativity, specially from the people that got their funds stolen by "doing what was correct".

It's our dutty as community leaders to offer help to anyone that has been affected or that has a ColdCard device.

Try to spread a message of availability among your communities now that they need us the most. 🙏

What is the true measure of a successful Bitcoin community? 📈

I recently asked our Bitcoin Community Leaders group about the #1 KPI they use to measure success. You can check out the full breakdown in the image below, but the top priorities are incredibly clear:

🥇 27% focus on More active community members. 🥈 19% prioritize More merchants accepting Bitcoin. 🥉 16% track More people actually paying with Bitcoin. The comments section was pure gold, generating fantastic grassroots tactics to actually improve these KPIs:

🔹 Turn FUD into FUN: Overcome business hesitation by organizing treasure hunts that bring groups of eager spenders directly to their doors. 🔹 Create Local Markets: Host regular Bitcoin Farmers Markets or flea markets to easily integrate local vendors and foster connections. 🔹 Spark Waiter FOMO: When dining out, have your group pay you in sats at the table, then pay the bill in fiat. Make the waiter feel like they are missing out on the action! 🔹 Apply Pressure: Call restaurants for large group bookings and cancel if they do not accept Bitcoin. 🔹 Leverage Frameworks: Utilize tools like my Bitcoin Community Flywheel framework and

's IRL Community Ladder to systematically boost active membership.

🗨 If you want to have access to these frameworks and participate in future polls, comment "COMMUNITY" and I'll give you access to our Bitcoin Community Leaders group 👇👇👇

They don't just talk the talk; they walk the walk! 🚶‍♂️💬 Following up on my last poll about what activities add the most value to a community, I went back to my Community Leaders group with a new question: "What activities do you actually DO in your community?" The results are in, and it’s amazing to see how well our actions align with our priorities. Out of 38 community builders, here is what is actually happening on the ground: 🥇 97% are hosting Events IRL (meetups, workshops, lunches, dinners). It’s official—we practice what we preach! In-person connection isn't just valued; it's actively prioritized. 🥈 55% manage Chat Discussions (Telegram, WhatsApp, Discord) to keep the daily engagement flowing. 🥉 44% are creating Social Media Content (YouTube, Twitter, LinkedIn). Interestingly, while this ranked lower in our "value" poll, it's clear that it remains an essential tool for community discovery and growth!

A massive shoutout to Philip Charter from the

community for suggesting a brilliant addition to the poll: Book discussion / book swap, which grabbed 7% of the votes. It's a fantastic reminder that niche, shared-interest activities are powerful ways to bring members together. 📚

Other notable activities included Exclusive members-only events (21%), Live Events Online (18%), and Newsletters (15%).

The biggest takeaway? Community builders are investing their time right where it matters most: getting people together in real life and keeping the conversation going in dedicated chat spaces.

What activity takes up the majority of your time as a community builder? Does it align with what brings your members the most value? Let's discuss below! 👇 or join the Telegram Group here → https://t.me/BitcoinCommunityLeaders #CommunityBuilding #CommunityManagement #CommunityLeaders #IRLEvents #CommunityEngagement #Networking #Bitcoin

The verdict is in: Nothing beats face-to-face connection. 🤝 I recently ran a poll in my Community Leaders group asking a simple but crucial question: "What activities do you think add more value to your community?" You can see the full breakdown in the image below, but the results were overwhelmingly clear! Out of the 29 community builders who voted, here is how the preferences stacked up: 🥇 93% voted for Events IRL (meetups, workshops, lunches, dinners). We all seem to agree that in-person gatherings are the undisputed kings of community value. 🥈 41% value Chat Discussions (Telegram, WhatsApp, Discord) to keep the daily pulse and continuous conversation alive. 🥉 27% chose Live Events Online (community calls, webinars, Spaces). A special shoutout to

for adding and championing Exclusive members-only events, which pulled in a solid 17% of the vote. It goes to show that curated, private experiences hold massive weight when it comes to fostering deep connections and rewarding loyal members. Interestingly, one-way communication channels like Social Media Content (13%) and Newsletters (6%) ranked at the bottom. While these are fantastic tools for audience building, this poll proves that true community value is built on multi-directional interaction and shared experiences. In a world of digital fatigue, getting people in the same room (whether it's an open meetup or an exclusive dinner) is still the ultimate community hack. What do you think? Does your community lean more towards IRL gatherings, or do you find more value in digital spaces?
