Six months ago, this was just an idea.
Today, the Bitcoin Diploma 2.0 pilot is being taught in 6 public schools across El Salvador, with 15 teachers, 6 tutors, and hundreds of students learning about Bitcoin, money, savings, and financial responsibility.
The biggest lesson hasn't been about Bitcoin itself—it's been about people.
We've seen teachers who had never used Bitcoin become confident enough to teach it. We've seen classrooms filled with questions, curiosity, and meaningful discussions. Every school visit, every mentoring session, and every conversation has helped improve the program.
A pilot isn't about proving you're right. It's about learning, adapting, and building something that can last.
There's still a lot of work ahead, but seeing Bitcoin education become part of public education is something I never imagined I'd witness firsthand.

Bitcoin has never been just about money.
At least, it hasn't been for me.
Over the last few months, I've been fortunate to help build something I deeply believe in: bringing Bitcoin education into public schools.
People often see the milestones, the announcements, the photos, and the metrics.
What they don't see are the long nights, the difficult conversations, the changing plans, the uncertainty, the responsibility of making decisions, and the constant effort to earn the trust of teachers, students, institutions, and an incredible team.
Building is rarely glamorous.
Some days you feel like you're making history.
Other days you're simply trying to solve the next problem before tomorrow morning.
I've learned that education is proof-of-work.
It can't be rushed. It can't be faked. And it certainly can't be measured only by numbers.
Every teacher willing to learn something completely new... Every student asking difficult questions... Every tutor giving more than what's expected...
Those are the blocks we're actually adding.
Bitcoin teaches us to think in decades instead of days.
Education teaches us to think in generations instead of semesters.
If we get this right, the real impact won't be visible this year. It will be visible years from now, when today's students become builders, entrepreneurs, educators, and leaders who understand freedom, responsibility, and sound money.
I'm grateful to everyone building alongside me.

After more than a year of silence on Nostr, I thought it was time for an update.
I haven't disappeared. In fact, this past year has probably been one of the busiest and most meaningful periods of my life.
A large part of my time has been dedicated to Bitcoin education in El Salvador. I've had the opportunity to work alongside teachers, school principals, tutors, and educational leaders who are helping bring Bitcoin education into classrooms. What once felt like a bold experiment is gradually becoming a reality, and it has been inspiring to witness the commitment of educators who are willing to learn, adapt, and embrace new ideas for the benefit of their students.
My work has involved everything from coordinating educational initiatives and supporting implementation efforts to visiting schools, tracking progress, creating materials, solving operational challenges, and helping build systems that make these programs sustainable. I've learned that meaningful change rarely happens overnight. It is built one conversation, one classroom, one teacher, and one student at a time.
Along the way, I've also spent countless hours working on educational content, translations, documentation, and tools that help make Bitcoin knowledge more accessible. Some of that work is visible, but much of it happens behind the scenes. Like many of you who are building, I've learned that progress is often measured not by what gets posted online, but by what gets done consistently every day.
At the same time, I've continued to follow the growth of open protocols and decentralized technologies. Bitcoin remains the foundation that brought me into this space, but I've become increasingly interested in the broader movement around digital sovereignty, open-source software, and protocols like Nostr.
Bitcoin showed the world that money can exist without centralized control.
Nostr is showing us that communication, identity, and social interaction can follow a similar path.
That idea continues to inspire me.
This past year has also been a lesson in leadership, patience, and responsibility. Working with educators and institutions has given me a deeper appreciation for the people who dedicate their lives to teaching. Real educational transformation isn't flashy. It happens through persistence, collaboration, and the willingness to keep moving forward even when progress feels slow.
Looking back, I'm grateful for everyone I've had the chance to work with, learn from, and build alongside. Every school visit, every training session, every challenge, and every success has reinforced my belief that education remains one of the most powerful tools we have to create lasting change.
Looking ahead, I'd like to become more active here again. I want to share more about the projects I'm working on, the lessons I'm learning, and the opportunities I see at the intersection of Bitcoin, education, open-source technology, and digital freedom.

Last year I took a kind of “sabbatical year.” Not to disappear, but to fix things I had left unfinished after spending time and energy on things that, in the end, were not worth it.
It was a year to clean up, learn, let go of noise, and refocus. To better understand what is actually worth building and protecting.
During that time, I never stopped working toward one goal: helping BTCPay Server become a real standard for small and medium businesses in El Salvador 🇸🇻⚡
A key part of that work has been training accountants, so they know how to read and use the reports properly. If accounting doesn’t work, adoption doesn’t scale.
I’ve also been expanding what can be done with LNbits: from simple wallets to remote machines, more complex flows, and real-world use cases.
This year, we’re launching a course using the Library of Satoshi, focused on learning by doing, not just theory.
I’m also happy to share that for the second year in a row, I’ll be part of Plan B El Salvador 🇸🇻 Still committed to education, tools, and real adoption.
At the same time, I’m working with a group of great people to create better, more practical, and more useful educational material for Bitcoin.
I’m running a public BTCPay Server instance, so anyone who wants to use it can do so, experiment, and start learning with real tools.

🚨 What’s happening in El Salvador with Bitcoin and the IMF is not just another headline. It’s a battle for the financial freedom of a country that has been manipulated for decades. But this time, the people woke up.
For years, they told us there was no other option. That we would always depend on those who decide for us from the outside. That our destiny was not in our hands.
But Bitcoin came along and showed people another reality: one where there are options. One where we can build our future without asking for permission.
We learned that with Bitcoin, we can save, send, and receive money without intermediaries, without banks blocking us, without governments deciding how much our work is worth.
And for the first time, thousands of Salvadorans realized something powerful: we are not doomed to always be dependent. We can take control.
When I mined Bitcoin in the early days and then walked away, I never imagined it would reach where it is today. Back then, I spent the little I had mined and simply wished the project good luck.
But years later, I found a community of people who never stopped believing, who kept building and pushing the movement forward. And I joined back in.
Not as a miner, but as someone who helps others understand the technology behind it. Because education is what makes the difference.
But not just any education. Not abstract or philosophical education. In El Salvador, education must be practical, day by day. People need to see Bitcoin working at stores, in the market, for remittances.
Bitcoin education in our country cannot stay in theory. It must be hands-on. Teaching how to store funds, avoid scams, and use Bitcoin to improve daily life.
To those who support financial freedom, I say: DON’T LEAVE US ALONE. This is a process, and like any real change, it comes with resistance.
There are people who want us to fail, who want El Salvador to become an “example” of why people should not be financially free. But we won’t let that happen.
El Salvador has always been a country that others have tried to control. But now we know there’s another way. And once people learn they can be free, there’s no turning back.
Tell the world. Share this. There are still people in El Salvador who want to show how things really work.
Maybe I won’t live to see how far the Bitcoin revolution will go in El Salvador or the world, but I’m proud to be one of the few who show what it really is.
Bitcoin is a tool that, with patience, little by little, can change your life. It’s not magic. It’s not a shortcut. It’s an opportunity for those who want to move forward.
We will keep going. We will keep learning. We will keep building. Because this is no longer just about adopting technology—it’s about freedom.
I’m grateful for all the support so far, and for whatever support may come in the future. Because this fight is not just for one person or one country. It’s for everyone who believes in a world where people control their own money.
El Salvador is a beacon. Not because everything is perfect, but because we are proving that another path is possible. And we’re not going back.
They will attack us. They will question us. But the seed has already been planted. Financial freedom is not a privilege—it’s a right.
