I wondered why there are so many people joining Anagram who have not used nostr before. The Anagram Youtube video has 7.3k views, that's organic Youtube growth, rather than people from bitcoin-x/nostr echochamber (where the video post has 100ish likes). A wave of new users 🙌 Now those people all have nostr accounts and will inevitably checkout social, marketplaces etc

RIP Dame Esther Rantzen In the UK we have the incredible charity Childline, which Dame Rantzen founded, a phone number any child can call for support/counseling. A godsend for so many children with nowhere else to turn. A remarkable charity, founded by a remarkable woman.

I use nostr.com for my daily nostr client and amethyst. Both work great. Never been exposed to horrible content. Im amazed things like primal are allowed to exist, and with all that vc capital they still have not implemented rudimentary client filters.

Some great suggestions from the newly formed napstr community. Ill be working through and thinking about:

• album/playlist events napstr can suggest and lump songs together with
• read only Napstrfy Iroh connections, for people you trust with you ip, but you dont want them to be able to download songs (be your own spotify)
• Leaning into nostr social layer, allowing user follows, and have new songs they upload as notifications
• Napstrfy normalizing song titles/meta from public apis, and passing back to napstr for better naming

A side effect of Napstrfy I hadn’t even thought about is just how good audio quality is! Its so noticably better. Spotify compresses music as much as it can get away with to save overhead, a slow enshittification of music, none of us notice. Napstr music files are much more likely to be larger and higher quality. I get that brain-tingly feeling from music again. Seeding music doesn’t just feel better, it sounds waaaaay better too!
