📣New series: “Hello World” about the history of the early internet launched today! 😁

Hello to all of our new followers! Thank you for supporting our work. 😁

Do facts matter to the NGOs who signed the petition against mining or is it just about being on “the right side” of the narrative against Bitcoin data centers?

and Kyle Schneps trace how a single non-peer-reviewed claim became the sole source cited in a letter from 70 environmental organizations to Congress.

That letter triggered congressional hearings, a Biden administration executive order, and an official government report, with no one along the way checking whether the original claim was correct or not.

explains something most people don’t know about landfills: they leak methane constantly, and methane traps heat far more effectively than CO2.

Bitcoin miners have started showing up at those sites. Capture the gas, burn it in generators, use the electricity to mine. The methane was venting either way. Now there’s a buyer for it.

This is the part of the energy story that rarely makes the coverage, and it’s why we put it in the film.

Power grids are constantly shopping for the cheapest fuel in fractions of a second, but there's a gap on the demand side. Sen. Cynthia Lummis (R-WY) breaks down how Bitcoin mining absorbs excess, low-cost electricity and helps make U.S. energy demand more efficient and sustainable over time.

Why did

go all in to produce and direct this documentary project entirely on her own? Because she needed to know if mining could really lift people out of energy poverty around the world. If Bitcoin mining could really have that kind of impact.

Seemed like an important enough question to answer.

In the four years she’s been working on this, many people have offered her a hand, expertise, financing and even a shoulder to cry on and it is the total of all of your contributions that has lead us to where we are today.

We stand on your collective shoulders, thank you 🙏
