Bitcoin Working thesis
The case for flipping bearish here is weak.
Bears do not have to be wrong for the trade to be poor. Most of the downside they are trying to avoid is already behind us. The upside they are giving up if the tape turns is still large.
Defending lower levels for a long time does not make a fresh bearish flip safer. It makes the asymmetry worse.
Years are short.
Stay long.

`He's right. Bitcoin already works. We didn't need an industry of "solutions" on top of it.
Most 2nd layers and federations just put a middleman back in, take fees, raise VC money, and answer to nobody. New banks with orange logos.
For normal people it's simple: on-chain, self-custody, your own keys. Everything else is someone else's business model. 🔑`

Good Morning, my few Nostr friends! I want this place to be so good that we never need X again

I just paid 88.888 sats for wss://nostr.wine my first paid relay 😏

Nostrich feels faster than Primal. I looked up why.
Primal does not read the relays when you open the feed. The app talks to Primal's own cache server, cache2.primal.net. That server sits on the relays all day, stores a copy, and answers the client from that copy. The notes still live on relays. The view you scroll is theirs.
From Europe that extra hop is the lag. A round trip to a US cache is often about 120-180 ms before the first byte. A direct socket to a European relay is often about 20-40 ms. For a following feed, a few narrow queries in parallel beat one fat reply from America.
The cache still wins on search, threads, and an unknown profile. On the feed I actually open, the direct client like
is the faster one.

October 2 cleared a listing path, not a trading start. The SEC approved a Cboe BZX rule so Volatility Shares can list products that target 3x the daily move. Proposed tickers are BITH for Bitcoin and ETHK for Ether.
Trading has not started. The shares stay off the exchange until the Form S-1 is effective. No launch date is on the order.
Spot is not in the wrapper. The funds hold CME futures and cash collateral. They sit as commodity trusts under the 1933 Act, outside the 1940 Act ETF rulebook. Staff had blocked leverage above 2x in December 2025. This structure is what got through.
Daily reset is the whole product. Bitcoin up 10% then down 10% finishes near -1%. The 3x fund on that same path finishes near -9%. Chop is a volatility tax even when the underlying barely nets a move.
Treat it as a day trade. Do not treat it as bitcoin you hold.

I was signed into
with Clave.
Likes and posts kept sticking. Post sending. Waiting for signer. A second tap did not fix it. It queued another request behind the first.
Clave is a remote signer. Nostrich does not sign the event. It waits for Clave to send the signature back. Background the app, or hit a slow bunker relay, and it sits there.
So I am putting the nsec in. The signature happens on the device. No waiting for signer. Post sending can still flash while the relays take the event. It should not stick.
The key now sits in the client, not in Clave. The offline backup stays offline.
These issues, and the speed with signers, need to improve.

What is the point of being on Nostr specifically, and only posting gm etc, and never talking to anyone?
What are you trying to gain?
I have found a lot of people doing this

I downloaded Nostrich and I am testing it. It is a good Nostr app. 10,000 sats a year for premium is a strong price.
I signed in with Clave.casa. Primal is the only client I ever trusted with my nsec. That has not changed.
The app looks solid. I still end up back on Primal. It feels smoother. A new client needs time before that comparison is fair.

The empty wallet on an explorer is not the story.
Core people hide coins on purpose. Kidnap risk. Luke got cleaned in 2023. That only happens if there was a stack to steal.
The selection effect is real. It just does not mean what you think.
What actually selected the current Core circle is not “too poor to retire.” It is $120k–$180k fiat grants from a handful of shops. Brink. Chaincode. Spiral. OpenSats. USD salary to review PRs on a $1.6T asset.
Skin in the game is the grant. Not the UTXO. That is why Core v30 could blow the default OP_RETURN from 83 bytes to 100kb, try to kill the user knob, and treat node operators like noise.
Knots went from ~3% of reachable nodes to ~23–25%. Holders voted with software. BIP-110 tried to put a temporary consensus lid on the spam path. Miners did not follow. Luke is out of OCEAN.
You asked why so many protocol people look poor.
Look at the payroll first. Then look at who still runs a node after they change the defaults.

london announced two things and the timeline mashed them into one.
first, the exchange wants its own uk tokenised equity structures. that's lse trying to keep the share, the rights, and the register.
second, payward/kraken will wrap the 100 largest london names as xstocks. 1:1. live in weeks on kraken and the alliance venues, about 110 countries. uk residents are locked out at launch. the token tracks the stock. it is not the stock. you hold a wrapper. london still holds the register.
the screenshot everyone will post is "listing on lse 24 in 2027", subject to approval. lse 24 is not 24/7. it is 24/5 with a 30-minute pause at 18:30. the main market stays 08:00-16:30.
we're now seeing european exchanges, and in the coming years globally too, push hours closer to 24/7. that tells me the future isn't tokenized assets.
they're still very useful though for people who only have crypto wallets and don't want to mess with a broker account.

Bitcoin just ran 40% off the July low and stalled at the 50-week.
that’s the line.
lose it and every bull since 2014 was over. hold it and every bear was over.
the 200-day doesn’t close this. 2015 ripped through the 200-day, died at the 50-week, then made one more low.
2018 still maps. feb low, slightly lower summer low, 40% squeeze into the same average. 5700 then. 57k now. 2022 did the same bounce and failed.
midterm years print these rallies inside a bear. nothing new.
july 1 is when accumulation started. q4 still gets a vote. october keeps showing up.
a few weekly closes above the 50-week and i stop being careful. until then the low isn’t confirmed.
not here to call the wick. 2027 pays this either way.

Brian Armstrong says tokenized assets are the next iPhone. Apple didnt predict Uber or Coinbase, the phone just made them possible. same pitch now for finance.
the 24/7 part is already getting eaten. nasdaq goes 23 hours a day, 5 days a week from dec 6. sunday 9pm ET through friday 8pm, one hour pause. they already said the 9:30-4 session still sets the official price.
we already have tokenized stocks trading when nasdaq is closed. ondo, xstocks, bstocks, coinbase on base. $29.5b in transfers last month on a ~$2.5b market. thats movement, not depth.
when the primary is shut the book thins out. price still comes from nasdaq. the primary exchange always leads.
tokenized assets do one useful job. they help people who dont have a brokerage and only have a crypto wallet.
thats the product. not a new iphone.
